Colmenar Spring Resort in Tambo Kulit

Huge,huge swimming pool

Tambo Kulit, Indang, Cavite is a small town lined up with numerous natural springs and mineral water resorts. Pretty much like Los Banos in Laguna, practically all swimming pools in the resorts in this town are filled with water flowing from natural springs. Some resorts even boast of the fact that their pools are filled with highly potable water from mineral springs. Now, how much cleaner do you think can swimming pools be?

How to get there

Tambo Kulit is about 3km southwest of Indang and about 4km north of Alfonso. From Manila, the shortest way to Tambo Kulit is via: South Luzon Tollway, Carmona, Silang, then take the secondary provincial roads that goes westward from Silang to Indang. If you do not like traversing through secondary roads, you can take a longer alternative road farther south via Tagaytay City then head north from Tagaytay to Mendez then to Indang.

The short, albeit, complicated route

Take the South Luzon Tollway and exit at Carmona (Exit 33) then head southwest towards Carmona. Near Carmona, take the Carmona Bypass road so you do not have to go through Carmona town proper. This road actually leads all the way to Trece Martires and crosses Aguinaldo Highway (the more popular road to Tagaytay City coming from Zapote). About 7.7km on this road from the Exit 33 (and about 1km before Gen. Mariano Alvarez(GMA)), there will be a junction to Silang. Take this road and head for Silang (about 8.3 km). At Silang, and at every major junction in Silang, you may need to ask directions from locals which way to Barrio Luksuhin. If you can’t find help, just follow the major streets of Silang with a southwest general direction until you hit the wide nicely paved roads of Aguinaldo Highway.

The road to Barrio Luksuhin actually starts from a crossing point along Aguinaldo Highway on the section that bypasses Silang. Follow this road to Luksuhin, then go through Luksuhin, Calubcob, Lit-lit, Banay-Banay (all barely 2 km apart from each other). At the crossing of Banay-Banay, simply head straight westward towards Pangil (about 3.5km). At Pangil, there will be another small intersection. Just head straight westward again. Then, about half a kilometer from the Pangil intersection, you will see the Bonifacio Capture monument.

About 1.5km from the Bonifacio Capture monument. There will be a junction which you might miss. You will notice the main road will suddenly turn right (from southwest to northwest direction toward Trece Martires) but there will be an almost hidden junction on the bend where the other road dips downward. Take this road that dips downward and follow it for about half a kilometer until you hit a diagonal main road intersection. Head straight (do not take the main road). This will now take you to Indang which is just a kilometer away passing beside the Cavite State University compound.

Upon reaching Indang, you will see the Indang Church on your right side. Turn right on the street at the left side of the church then turn left westward all the way to the end of the street then turn right and hit the road towards Alfonso. About 1.2km from Indang, there will be a Y junction. Take the road on the left. This will take you to Tambo Kulit (about 2.8km from the junction). At Tabo Kulit, there will be a T junction. Turn right (towards Alfonso). Then about a kilometer from the T junction, turn left. From this point on (southwards) for a stretch of about 3kms, you will see several resorts lined up on the left and right sides of the road. Take your pick. Or, better yet, ask some locals which they would recommend.
