Indang is one of town of the province of Cavite which is now known as the coffee capital of the Philippines togeteher with eight (8) coffee-producing towns all situated in the Third District or the up-land areas namely; Amadeo, Silang, Tagaytay City, Mendez, Alfonso, Maragondon, Magallanes and General Emilio Aguinaldo. The Liberica, Robusta & Excelsa coffee varieties are the most commonly grown in these towns. To boost the coffee industry of Cavite, Don Robertos Winery came up with another first-of its kind: a taste to intrigue, an experience to treasure- Don Robertos brewed Coffee Wine, The first brewed Coffee Wine in the World!!

With the combined agricultural wealth and historical tradition of wine making, the possibilities are endless for the Philippines to become a true competitor in the global wine making industry.

I’m from Amadeo so I’d like to know since when has Indang been declared as Coffee Capital of the Philippines? I’ve searched all over the internet and everywhere it says its only AMADEO…I was there when GMA inaugurated the celebration and gave the title to our town…so claim what is only rightfully yours…Correct me if I’m wrong…

I am moved by your site… I am a proud province girl of Indang, Cavite.. Though, I am not staying in Indang most of the time.. I know in my heart I will always come back in my root… The place that gave me hurt, crying time moments but most of all the feeling of Joy of being HOME>>>

Indang is my home… It molded me to be the person I am right now…

I just want to commend you for a job well done on this site. Very interesting and somewhat reminded me of my past. I am from Indang as well, I left Indang when I was 12 yrs old and been living in the US for more than 30 yrs. I am currently the VP of Indang Family Group, one of Indang Associations here in the US, based in the San Francisco, California. I am in the process of building our association’s website and if you would allow me, I would like to feature some of your pictures from Indang Town in our website. Maybe you can email me back so we can exchange notes… thanks!

you are doing one terrific job of featuring our hometown and it’s really commendable. we need more people like you. i am a blue blooded, born and raised in indang and it will always be my home in fact in a few years, i’ll retire and settle back there. there’s nothing like home living with your own kind and you can be just yourself, speaking the language eating and smelling your own food. ive been away since ’79 and the few times i went home were not happy occasions or plainly just too short so i can’t wait to go back home. your website is so beautiful and the only downside to it is -it makes me homesick!!thanks and more power to you.

hi i’m tito banias and i would like to comment on mari of amadeo! hey mari, whoever you are, we from indang cavite are not stealing the title from you as coffee capital of the phillipines. indang beauty just stated that our beloved town is one of the 8 towns in cavite as coffee capital. so what is the big deal there? do you know what are you talking about? if i were you, i’ll just keep my mouth….. aren’t you proud that our towns are giving big contributions in the coffee industry? wag tau magsiraan mga caviteno! lahi tau nga matatapang at hindi mayayabang! so don’t let me think that you are one of the mayabangs! let us join our hands to keep cavitenos as humble as we are and avoid having crab mentality! is that ok ms. mari? happy new year to all my kababayans1

Hi, I stumbled upon your site while searching for the history of the Indang. Nakakatuwa naman at naisipan niyo pong gumawa ng site dedicated sa Indang, Cavite. I was born in the Philippines pero lumaki ako sa States. Noong bumalik na kami dito sa Pilipinas, we moved to Indang kasi taga dito yung nanay ko. My grandfather used to be the Municipal Judge of Indang. I really love Indang kasi it’s caught between two periods of time: the past and the present. Kahit na year 2010 na ngayon at mayroon ng iba’t ibang mga commercial na establishments, may bakas pa rin siya ng nakaraan.

I am also a proud son of Indang. Though, I am currently stationed in Kuwait, I usually go back home to Indang every August. It is this longing for our hometown that compelled me to write a piece called “B’yaheng Baclaran” in my blog, lalo na at palapit na ng palapit ang pag-uwi ko. I wanted to capture the texture of the usual Indang-Baclaran bus trip.

Patawarin po sana ninyo ang aking kapangahasan. Maraming salamat po, sakali mang, huli man ay pahintulutan ninyo ang paggamit ko ng inyong mga lawaran sa aking blog.
