Balay Indang is a quiet and secluded bed and breakfast inn as well as a regular retreat house inconspicuously located in Indang, Cavite. The best way to get there is to follow the Tagaytay route, straight thru the town of Mendez and into Indang. Most people will miss it as there are no signs outside the gate except for the numbers 88.

Balay Indang…is ilokano for Bahay…and is a calm, quiet and relaxing resort …this vast area…had 17 rooms in around 4 different cottages…there were trees and flowers and green everywhere.

The place is like a garden in a farm with several small houses peppered across a hectare of lot. There are several cavanas and cottages within pockets of garden as well as a swimming pool with a recreation or yoga area.

The rooms are spacious — some with air conditioning while others have ceiling fans. You won’t be needing them anyway as it’s always chilly there and the breeze just creeps right thru the window. An old and rustic design with Bali and Chinese influence completes the entire package.

Meals usually starts with a green salad or soup, with fresh ingredient from their own garden. That’s usually followed by the main dish of either fish, a stuffed roast chicken, adobo or their special embutido which is to die for.

At night, it really gets cold and between 5pm to 7pm. You can stay indoors or hang out at the cavana beside the pool for some recreation after dinner. In contrast to city living, people here sleep very early in the evening; sometimes as early 9PM.

    Hi IndangBeauty,

Balay Indang is truly beautiful and refreshing !!!! Thank God there are places like this offered for people looking for some peace and quiet.

Hope its ok to type in some queries here. First question: When you say “discount for children” how do you categorize “children”, do you go by age? Like 0-18 years old or 01-15 years old? Second question” If I choose to sleep in a non-ariconditioned room, theones with ceiling fans only, will the room have a lower charge than an airconditioned room?

    Hi!

Overnight stay for Balay Indang is P2k+, but it’s sure worth it. Day tour is around 600 per person I think. It already includes the food and (not really sure) pool use. For more information contact Ms. Marge Tan…the number was posted above. 🙂

hi! just been to balay indang last weekend for my bday and mothers’ day celebration. the place was exactly as you described it. my kids was asking if we can extend. my son, who is 9, was happily snapping pictures all over. they have built more extensions and more decos were around the house.

the rates are 2500 for adults, 2000 for kids, plus 3% gratuity pay. we were not asked for any deposit, payment is cash. sorry, no credit card.

    hi,

i was at Balay Inday last Feb. w/ my family & friends & stayed overnight.
i thought the food was great, but what’s annoying was there were so much flies hanging around
one of us needed to constantly fan the table & drive those flies away.

the place was nice & quiet, the plants were exotic, really enjoyed seeing them.

We have just been there April 4 to 6,2012, and the place is really amazing! great home cooked meals and kind staff. You don’t have to bring any extra food, for they serve 5 meals a day, leave you no room for hunger. Place is great for meditations, retreats and family bonding. It’s a great stay for 2 to 3 days. Just don’t forget to bring mosquito or bug sprays (like off lotions.) because this place is a garden-haven. And also don’t forget to bring your cameras, there are lots of eye-feasting decors, accessories in each and every corner of the living rooms, cottages including the door knobs! A very shaby Chic place. My kids enjoyed the stay very much.

Good morning ! We have really enjoyed the day we have passed there in Balay Indang last Holy Friday and thank you for the kindness of all the staff including the employees ! Unhappily we could not to find that tree with its strange fruits that a friend had taken in picture last november 2011. I suppose it’s only flowering actually? It is located just on the side of the swimming pool and has several fruits yellow on each branch, which look like a lemon cut in two. Could you satisfy my curiosity and tell me its name and where we could find the same in a nursery? Thank you in advance.
